Applied Psychology in Oxfordshire

Oxford Applied Psychology is an independent psychology service that is based in North Oxfordshire.

We offer practical, impartial and needs-led psychological services to those living and working within the Oxfordshire area and surrounding counties, as well as nationally and internationally.

We offer clinical psychology & therapy services to people with a variety of psychological and emotional needs, as well as psychologically informed and psychologically-led services to business and industry. This can be face to face and remotely. Our psychological therapists specialise in the use of empirically driven psychological models and offer evidence-based talking therapies appropriate for a diverse range of individual differences and emotional challenges.

Our Philosophy

As Psychologists and experienced healthcare professionals, we follow a person-centred, needs-led and responsive clinical approach to clients, being able to offer a collaborative and bespoke assessment, treatment planning and treatment services. We value an open and transparent approach that has the notions of respect, dignity and confidentiality at the core. We have a positive history of offering high quality and cost effective services to leading clients, health insurance agencies and to industry.

As a team we ensure defensible and ethical practice and have a strong commitment to continuing professional development. We also recognise the importance of sensitivity relating to information and are registered under the Data Protection Act with the Information Commission. Our practitioners are qualified and experienced Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Psychologists as well as being British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Psychologists.

Confidentiality is integral to our clinical practice. When you meet with a psychologist everything you share with us will remain confidential according to the British Psychological Society’s (BPS) and the Health and Care Professions Council’s codes of conduct. This means that unless there are significant concerns about your safety or the safety of others, your information will only be shared in confidential, clinical supervision in which you remain anonymous.

Based in Oxfordshire, we are ideally placed to offer national coverage across the UK. If, for any reason we are not able to assist with your needs, we will endeavour to provide free advice and consultancy to help identify potential alternative options to meet your needs within our wider professional network.
