Services

Oxford Applied Psychology offers a range of psychological therapies to individuals seeking therapy, and offers psychologically led and psychologically informed services to individuals, teams and business.

Corporate & Staff Needs

Our Clinicians at Oxford Applied Psychology are trained in and are experienced in delivering clinical supervision and Reflective Practice for practitioners working within mental healthcare settings as well as within industry and corporate business. We currently work with a team of Solicitors in the Thames valley area offering Reflective Practice to Clinicians that work closely with clients with complex trauma and significant mental health and social difficulties; and we are working with a Team of Child & Family Law Mediators in the Midlands offering Reflective Practice to practitioners to help them to process the emotional impacts of their challenging roles in this field.

Oxford Applied Psychology is driven to deliver a responsive, bespoke and needs led service receptive to the needs of your staff and your organisation. We also offer training and teaching, which can include understanding common mental health difficulties in the workplace, managing workplace stress, dealing with challenging behaviours and building emotional resilience. We can provide a range of workshops and training packages to aid professional development, and we take great pride in offering evidence-based, practitioner led training.

We take every measure to ensure that you are provided with the right training to meet your needs and ensuring that the learning environment is purposeful, constructive and fun. We are currently working with a team of Child & Family Law Mediators in the Midlands offering training and development packages for Clinicians to better understand and work with mental health difficulties through Mediation and family separation; and we are currently developing teaching and training sessions for a private business in Oxfordshire around the themes of wellness, common mental health difficulties, emotional resilience and in workplace stress.

At Oxford Applied Psychology, our psychologists have significant experience in working with individuals themselves, as well as with the organisation as a system to deliver a needs-led and a formulation driven approach to consultancy. We have experience in the teaching, training and in the development of others, whether they be psychologists, Nursing Teams, Solicitors or individuals in business settings. As another example, we have in the recent three years designed, delivered and supported through consultation the implementation of clinical models of psychological therapy with Psychiatric and Psychological teams in the National Health Service in Malta.

At Oxford Applied Psychology we also offer clinical supervision, case consultation, peer and professional supervision to psychologists and other healthcare professionals and can provide consultancy, advisory and liaison services to industry and corporate business. Supervision and consultation is tailored to meet the needs of the individual and the organisation, and we are able to provide both general clinical supervision and/or specialist clinical supervision and reflective practice (e.g. to forensic and trauma-led service providers or those working within such individuals).

Expert Witness, Medico-legal & Personal Injury

The Clinicians at Oxford Applied Psychology have significant experience in working within the medico-legal framework and in undertaking assessments for Civil, Criminal and Immigration Law settings, as well as within areas of Mental Health law. Our Clinicians have had significant opportunity to give oral evidence in a number of such settings and they have acted as an Expert Witness and provided written evidence in the above legal forums, in Crown Court Proceedings, Child and Family Courts and Asylum & Immigration Tribunal Hearings. Clinicians have also completed a BPS accredited Expert Witness Skills training.
